The Trouble

Down in the jungle on a Saturday night
All the animals get together
To talk about the things that man has done
To change the world forever
The wonders of creation die
From greed and pollution
If man's supposed to be so smart
Then where is the solution
All things bright and beautiful
All creatures great and small
But the trouble with man just seems to be
He doesn't care at all

When God made every living thing
He made the world for sharing
He wants us all to get along
By loving and by caring
A perfect earth for everyone
That we should be enjoying
So how is it that we have come
To spoiling and destroying
All things wise and wonderful
The Lord God made them all
The trouble with man just seems to be
That he won't share at all

The trouble with me and the trouble with you
We want so much that we don't need
Sooner or later we've got to see and live together
Like it's meant to be
